Weston Hospice - Do Just One Thing
The Do Just One Thing campaign is encouraging people to do just one thing for Weston Hospicecare, to help raise the vital funds the Hospice needs in order to provide its much-needed and highly-valued services. We hope to raise £160,000 through the Do Just One Thing campaign, so that the Hospice can cope with the continuing rise in patient numbers. The appeal asks companies, schools, clubs, groups, and organisations to get involved and to “do just one thing” - whether it’s a sponsored walk, a simple donation, a raffle, an overseas trek, a dress-down day, or a coffee morning – anything to help us raise the funds we need.
Weston Hospice Care helps over 1100 people, their families and their friends in the local community from Highbridge/BOS/Bleadon to WSM and across to Blagdon. We help people in both sides of the county. We rely heavily on local support to:
Amongst other services, we are currently trying to increase funds for a specialist children’s emotional therapy room (circa £10k +). We currently help 24 children, youths and adolescences and would love to increase this to help many more.
Weston Hospice has 20th birthday celebrations coming up.
